We also went to Pa to visit Gramps and Nana for Christmas. We had a great time visiting, however both girls got sick. The girls got more toys. Grace got a jewelry box which shes loves and a necklace she wears all the time and Alexis got a hello kitty necklace she wears all the timer! They also got new clothes that they couldn't wait to wear.

Christmas Day 2011

I was actually the first one awake on Christmas, it was strange. I got up let the dogs out and woke up Dave then we woke up the kids! We had a wonderful Christmas. We had Dave's family over for the day. The house was full and lots of fun. The girls got spoiled like always. They couldn't wait to play with all of their toys!

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve was spent with my side of the family. We had all kinds of food like always! Uncle Jeff and Dave were glued to the TV and the computer checking their fantasy football game scores! Uncle Jeff got the girls scooters for Christmas and since it wasn't to cold the girls even tried them out outside. The girls helped hand out gifts to everyone. After we went to church and both girls did really well. Grace even told Grandma D. that "Christmas doesn't come from a store". (So proud of my little girl.) Then we drove around and looked at lights. When we got home we put out cookies and "pink" (strawberry) and chocolate milk for Santa since they couldn't decide. Then Daddy surprised the girls with new hello kitty pj's and read them Twas the Night Before Christmas. Both girls went to sleep without a problem! It was a wonderful day.

Dave's family Christmas

The weekend before Christmas we got together with Dave family for a fun night of singing by the girls and visiting with the family. It's nice seeing everyone and catching up. I love the holidays! Both girls loved singing karaoke. Alexis enjoyed spinning Cassandra around and around in her chair. I don't know who got the most dizzy. Grace also helped play games with the family.

Living Nativity

Every year our church has a living nativity where people can come see the animals and see the kids act out the manger scene. There is also crafts for the kids and games for them too. The girls had a good time running around and playing the cookie walk. They also loved petting and holding onto the animals leashes. During the re-enactment Lexi kept wanting to run up and take Jesus out of the manger!

Swim Class Fall 2011

The girls finished swim class up in December and both got moved up to the next level! They both are doing great! Grace is putting her head under more and supporting herself better during class. Lexi is following directions and trusting her instructors more. Before we know it we will have dolphins on our hands!

Crazy mud

Dave made the girls some crazy mud to play with and they had a blast! It's slippery and gooey so you know the girls loved it!

Gymnastic field trip

Grace's school went to a gymnastic class for a field trip. Both girls got to participate and had a blast! Grace did better at the stunts but Lexi enjoyed running around. Now the girls try tricks around the house!

Halloween

We went to Dave's parents for Halloween along with a bunch of the family. The girls had a blast like always. Grace craved her pumpkin all by herself! Lexi got tired trick or treating and headed back while grace continued on with Dave. The girls have more candy then they know what to do with. There were some fun decorated houses, one even had a giant inflatable pumpkin in the front yard.

Swim Class

The girls started swim class back up the fall. Both girls moved up a level and now Lexi gets in the water without Dave or I. I'm happy about that because the water is cold! Lexi didn't like it the first 2 classes but now she does great. Grace is doing well with putting her face in the water. She now jumps off the diving board without a problem. I love their teachers they are doing a great job!

Grace started preschool this year and is loving it! She is at a preschool affiliated with the high school. They have three teachers and a lot of high school students as teachers. They have different stations the kids go to that the students run. Grace is learning a lot and has brought home a lot of pictures. They also go on a field trip once a month. Grace got all dressed up for her first day and so did Lexi!

Monday night football

Dave and I went to the Lion's Monday night football game against the Bears! It was a blast! We went tailgating before hand with some friends. The stadium was so loud and excited. Can't wait to go again next year!

Apple Picking

We took the girls apple picking this fall. The girls had fun finding apples and picking them off the trees. We picked a variety of apples. The girls always wanted the ones way up high so we had to pick them up. Daddy and Mommy made apple sauce with a bunch of the apples.

Halloween at the campground

We had Halloween at the campground back in September. It was a very cold weekend. We wore winter coats, gloves, and hats! We had a good time though. Grace was a vampire and Lexi was hello kitty. Dave had fun decorating the campsite. The girls got lots of candy and Aunt Susan and Jenna came out for the fun too!

We have had a busy but fun summer. The girls love playing outside and enjoy riding their bikes. They both took swimming lessons and Grace even jumped off the diving board! They are such girly girls enjoying their nails painted and wearing dresses. We truly had a great summer and can't believe it's over!

Trip to Gramps and Nana's

We went to Pa a few weeks ago and had a great visit. We went to the children museum and with Nana's bother and his family and all of us. Everyone had a blast and it was fun keeping track of 5 kids! They had an area for kids to climb and Grace kept up with the boys to the top but was then scared to come down. Big cousin Tyler was great and helped Grace down. There was a lot of crafts for the kids to make too. There was an airplane there that Lexi got into and wouldn't leave. After the museum Pops, Grandpa, and Aunt Kimmy came over to spend the evening and to have dinner. The girls had a blast playing with everyone. Great Grandpa had the girls laughing all night! Alexis ran around wearing Grace's new dress all night too! We had a great weekend and hated to come home!

Drive thur Safari

We took the girls to the drive thur safari in Port Clinton Ohio on our way to Pennsylvanian. They had an area to walk around and see different animals. They also had a hedgehog and a snake for the girls to pet (Alexis wouldn't touch the snake). Grace also rode a camel and a pony. We watched a pig race and then went to the drive thur part. We brought the girls in the front seat with us so we could help them. The first animal grabbed my cup and lifted it into the air then dropped it back into the car, making a mess. Dave got to feed a buffalo. Half way through Alexis asked to go back into her car seat and buckled herself up and feel asleep. The girls had a good time seeing all the animals!

Jenna's Baptism

Our niece Jenna was baptized and Dave and I are her godparents! Jenna was so well behaved. She didn't cry and just stared at Pastor as he put the water on her head. It was a nice day with family.

Air Show

We took the girls to the air show this year. Grace and Alexis enjoyed it but it was sooo hot this year. The girls got to see all kinds of planes. They were exhausted when it was over. Alexis was so tired she fell asleep sitting up during the blue angels!

Grace's ears pierced

Grace got her ears pierced a few months back. When we went only one person was there so they could only do one ear at a time. Grace was a trooper. They did the first and she sat there for a second and did nothing. Mommy asked if it hurt and she started crying but she let her do the second ear. She loves having the pretty earrings in. She is such a girly girl.

For Grace's birthday this year we just did cake and ice cream and a few people. Grace had a good time. She had a hard time blowing out the candles but she finally got them. Alexis took over the camera so I don't have a lot of shots. I can't believe how fast time is going! She got some new clothes, earrings, and toys. She is a lucky girl!

Maine

We went on a family trip this year to Maine. We stayed in Wells right near the ocean. The water was cold but the girls had a blast! This was Lexi's first time in the ocean. They got to sit on a firetruck the first day and got a fire helmet. Then we went to the beach 2 days and a store that had a life size moose and bears made out of chocolate. The one beach was on a pier with an amusement park and one bathroom they wanted you to pay to use! We catch 2 starfish and found a few shells. On Grace's birthday we went on a whale watch boat ride. We saw two different kinds of whales and lots of dolphins who followed the boat. Grace kept saying "this is the best birthday ever!" Great how do we top that! They won an adopt a whale too, so now they have a whale! Dave got lobster ever day and twins one night, which he was proud of. The last day we went to Freeport and visited LL bean and some other cute stores. The girls were well behaved on the plane rides and we got lucky and got on our fights.

Father's day

For father's day this year we had a BBQ at the campground. It was hot but we had a good time. The grandpa's started playing with water but the girls soaked them back. Grace, Alexis, and Jenna wore matching outfits. Daddy got a hat, t-shirt, and a wallet. It was a fun weekend.

Fourth of July

We went out to the campground for the 4th and had a blast. We were in charge of kids games this year. We started with a Twinkies/ moon pie eating contest, and then games for different age groups. All the kids had a good time. We had lots of water balloon fights and water gun fights while we were there. Grandpa made a balloon launcher that the guys had a blast playing with. The girls got to go swimming and out on the boat. One day we catch lots of fish and the girls were helping to bring them in. It took Dave 35 seconds from cast to completely reeling the fish in! (the next day we weren't so lucky.) The girls were exhausted by the time we came home!

Zoo

We took the girls to the zoo a few weeks ago. The girls had a great time. They loved the butterfly house and they even got to see them coming out of their chrysalis. Grace pointed them out and calls them chrysalis. She learned that from a Dr. Seuss book. We got to see peacocks running around everywhere. The girls were exhausted when we left.

Grace had her dance recital a couple weeks ago. She is the second in from the right. All the girls did very well, and we think they may have gotten the loudest round of applause. Grace is currently indecisive about whether or not she wants to attend again next year.

Butterfly House

Our church had a butterfly house this spring and a lot of crafts for the kids to do. The girls had a good time and Grace loved holding the butterflies. Lexi liked looking at them but did not want to hold them. One landed on her and she started freaking out! They had over 20 butterflies flying around for the kids.

Easter

We had a busy but wonderful Easter. We got up early so the girls could look for the Easter eggs and their basket, which they had a blast doing! They were excited to put on their dresses and go to church. We then went to Dave's side of the family and visited with everyone. We took many pictures of the girls with Jenna trying to get a good one. A hard thing to do with 3 little girls! Then we went to my side of the family. The girls ate so much candy too! We were all exhausted by the end of the day!

Easte cookies

The girls and I made Easter cookies this year. Alexis only did her cookie because of the mess, but grace helped cut them out and decorate them. Grace went overboard on some of the sprinkles but we had a good time!

Good Friday

Dave and I had Good Friday off of work so with took the girls out for a day of fun. We went to my work for an Easter egg hunt and the girls got a ton of eggs! We couldn't get them to go inside. Lexi won a bunny stuff animal too. After the eggs spilled in Dave's car then we went to chuck-e-cheeses. The girls had a blast there too and went right to sleep in the car. It was a good day off!

Our little baby turns 2! For her birthday we went to the circus and the girls had a fun time. Grace liked the costumes and sparkly shoes of the performers! One of the acts was a performer on a trampoline doing a comedy act which made Lexi cry! I think she was just too tired at this point! We also had family over for her birthday. Alexis had a good time and was a little chatterbox throughout the day. Her cake was Minnie mouse which she loves. She even picked the menu- tacos. She got way more toys then we needed and now we need to figure out where to put everything!

Baby Jenna

Aunt Susan and Uncle Jim had a baby on 2/26/11, Jenna Alexandra, 8lbs 21in. The girls are now big cousins and loved seeing her. Grace told me she had to wear a dress to the hospital because the baby would want to see her pretty dress! Both girls got to hold her too. Daddy, Grace, and Lexi went to visit them this week and Grace even got to feed her a bottle. She is an adorable baby! Congratulations Susan and Jim!

Bowling

Grace and Alexis went bowling for the first time about a month ago at a birthday party. They loved it and had a blast! They used a ramp to get the ball down they lane and Grace carried the ball herself. They had a lot of fun and want to go again!

Palying in the snow

The girls had a blast playing in the snow this winter. Both girls have a shovel to help us with shoveling. Alexis falls easily all bundled up and needed a lot of help getting up. The girls made snow angels, had snowball fights, made a snowman and went sledding. Grace even went down the hill all by herself! When we were done sledding the girls were so tired they could barely walk to the car they were so tired! Both of them are growing so fast. Alexis is becoming a little chatterbox just like her sister!

New beds

Alexis started sleeping in the toddler bed this week and Grace in a regular bed. We went and let them pick out comforters and new sheets. My little girls are growing up so fast! It makes me sad.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning Grace came running into our room to wake us up. I was sleeping on the floor in Lexi room with her because she wasn't feeling well and didn't sleep well. Grace asked where I was and said probably seeing if Santa was here. They were excited to open everything up. Grace opened her pillow pet up from Santa and threw it on the ground saying "this isn't an unicorn!", but of course it was! When we told her that she was happy.Our little diva. Alexis also got her dance star mickey which she beats up. Grace got a tent and sleeping bag that she splent in every night for awhile too. We had Dave's family over that day. We all had a nice time. The girls ran all day. We made a deep fried turkey which I loved! Everyone got nice gifts and lots of food. It was a very nice Christmas.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with my side of the family. We went to Grandma's house. Everyone had a nice and relaxing evening. The girls got new backpacks they carry around and a new bear they slept with. They also got new pj's that they wear constantly. Alexis also got a Minnie Mouse costume that she is adorable in. Alexis was pulling our coats out at 8 saying night night she was so tired. She decided she had enough and wanted to go to bed!

Holiday Season

The girls had a good time helping to decorate the house this year for Christmas. Grandma and Grandpa came over while we decorated and had dinner with us. The girls "helped to put ornaments on the tree and put out other decoration. We got a new angel for our tree this year as a present from Dave's parents. We also went to a living nativity at church this year. The girls enjoyed that a lot too. Alexis was unsure of some of the animals though. We also had a few holiday parties this year. The girls got to sit on Santa's lap and got to ride though the festival of lights which Grace loved. Alexis was half asleep for them! At Dave's work party Grace rode a bull, and they both went on a bouncer and Grace went though an obstacle course. Grace was in the church program this year also. She sang a few songs with the other kida and then they all said what Christmas meant to them. Grace held up a picture of a birthday cake and loudly said "Happy Birthday Jesus". It was so cute!

Alexis' robe

Trip to Pa

We went to Pa for Christmas last weekend. We had a good time. The girls got spoiled rotten and we barely had room to get everything home. The girls got blankets that Nana made and they went nuts! They started jumping and twirling around. Lexi got 2 babies that she carries everywhere. Grace got dolls she takes everwhere too. Grace got a guitar that was the hit of the party. Everyone was playing with it. We didn't have bibs so we use 2 t-shirts as clothes protector and the girls looked adorable! We of course had lots to eat and a lot of laughs!

The girls have been having a blast. Lexie hair is getting long so now I can put it in pig tail and Grace's is still very long. The girls still like to play with their food and make a mess. At grandpa' birthday party Grace put stickers all over her belly and ran around with her shirt up.The girls have been enjoying looking at the toy catalogs too. Grace laid on the ground the first day with the catalog. Grace asks some of the best questions. She asked Aunt Susan what her baby was wearing and if the baby has a dresser in her belly! Alexis is talking up a storm. She sings the first line of rock a by baby and then both girls bark when you sing How much is that dogging in the window. For the most part they play good together. The girls love playing dress up and coloring in their books. Grace's room is now painted pink which she loves!

Dave and mine vaction

Dave and I went to the smoky mountains for a weekend. We had a nice time while Dave's parents keep the girls. We went to Dixie stampede(a dinner show) and got pulled onstage! We did a zip-line tour though the mountains, which was fun. We explored a cave also. It was a nice and relaxing weekend.

Carving pumpkins

The girls carved pumpkins for the first time. Alexis wasn't so sure about it at first, then she got into it. Grace had fun too. Both girls enjoyed carving them too. Grace did some of it on her own, and Alexis did hand over hand with Daddy. The girls were a mess afterward but we had a fun time.

Grace went to her first dentist appointment and was a very good girl. She let them do everything they needed without moving. The girls love playing at their sinks and brushing their teeth. Grace has started letting us floss her teeth too! It's a good thing they like brushing their teeth after some of the food they eat. You'll understand when you see the last 2 pictures. It was chocolate pudding that Alexis ate!

Grace started ballet in Sept and has been having a good time. She is starting to listen a little better in class. Dave taught her to raise her hand if she has a question and now she does it the whole class! Her recital should be in May! Isn't she cute!

Halloween at the capground

This past weekend we had Halloween at our campground. The weather was very cold but we had a good time anyway. Grace and Alexis went out with my mom and Gary Friday morning while I was at work. Grace picked out her own pumpkin and carried it though the store and drew on it. It needed everything for it's face. They also filled pumpkin bags with leaves. Cheryle (the girls babysitter) and her family came out and Dave's parents too. They had a lot of games for the kids and costume contest. Alexis and Grace both got a stuff animal from the contests. We also went on a wagon ride which was fun. Grandma and Grandpa made "jello shots" for the kids too, which Alexis loved. Everyone probably thought I feed my kid a real jello shot! The girls were so tired by the time we went trick-or-treating that they didn't even get though the whole campground. They still ended up with a lot of candy. Grace got to be her princess with clothes under her dress, Alexis a lion, and I was a gypsy.

Family camping trip

This past August we went on our family camping trip. This year it was at Silver Lake Sand Dunes. We all had a good time. The girls loved being in a tent. The first night it stormed and our tent and contents in it were soaked. The rest of the weekend was good though. We had a friend that took us out on her boat and over to the dunes. Alexis climbed most of the big hill by herself but I needed to carry her at the end. I'm in better shape then I thought! The girls had a good time at the camp site digging. They also enjoyed playing in the sand and playing in the water. The last day Alexis sleep on the dunes under a makeshift canopy. We all went out and got ice cream one night which was a nice treat. Grace got to go on go-carts too for the first time while we were there. She loved it and Alexis had a blast running around watching them!

Gary's 60th birthday party

Mom throw Gary a late 60th birthday party at the campground. It was a fun party. Grace met her cousin Emma for the first time and they hit it off and had a blast. Grace was following her everywhere. They played games together, went on the playground equipment, and went swimming together. Everyone had a good time despite the hot weather. Lexie fell asleep in Mark's arms, which is amazing since she is such a momma's girl. As for all of our family functions there was a ton of food and drinks to go around. Gary got some fun over the hill gifts too.

We have had a busy summer. The girls have been playing like crazy. Lexie says all kinds of new words (doggy, kitty, love you, baby for everything). Lexie is going up and dpwn the stairs so much better. We took the girls to the hands on museum for Grace's birthday and they had a blast. Tired us out as much as them! We have gone camping a lot. We went camping with Dave's family to the Silver Lake Sand dunes. We joined a family fantasy football league. Grace will be starting a dance class in a couple of weeks. The girls really enjoy swimming this summer and even have tired tubing a few times this year. Grace started sleeping on the floor a few times before we went camping getting ready for the tent. She also enjoys putting a ton of hair ties in her hair. She is potty trained even at night for the last 1 1/2 months!

Grace had her pictures done by Kacy twice. The first time we went to a graduation party the night before and Grace got covered in mosquito bites. No amount of make-up or touch ups could cover them up! So the second time went much better. After the second time Grace broke out in poison ivy! Both times Grace was more interested in playing but we still got some great shots! Enjoy!

Grace's 3rd birthday

My little girl turned 3 on the 12th!! We had her party over the weekend and had a good time. The weather was nice. Grace got a lot of nice stuff. Her blow up alligator for the pool was a splash. She ran around attacking everyone with it. Every night the alligator gets someone. Of course she had to play with all her gifts. She had on her princess dress with her tool belt and hard hat fixing things. Alexis had to wear one of Grace's dresses. Grace had to play with her Barbi swimming pool and her Barbi's too. We had a salad bar for dinner with a lot of leftovers. The girls enjoyed their cake and Alexis got covered in hers. Gramps and Nana spent the night which the girls loved.

Grace is pretty well potty trained too. She has been wearing big girl undies. In fact she got some for her party and couldn't wait to put them on. On her birthday we went to the hands on museum. We had fun running everywhere. The girls were asleep before we got out of the parking garage! We were all tired and took a nap when we got home.

Michael's graduation

Our nephew Michael graduated from high school and we went to his party last weekend. It was a fun time. There was a bouncy house with boxing gloves and jousting sticks. The girls enjoyed it a lot. The weather was hot but nice. We stayed for fireworks too. It was a first for the girls. They loved it until they saw glow sticks and that grabbed their attention especially Lexi. Grace's started to leak all over too. Uncle Steve decided to throw it on the ground and got covered in the glowing ooze. You could see him wherever he went! Grace also got to play with sparklers and was loving them too.

The Girls- Spring 2010

Grace and Alexis are growing fast and are all over the place. Grace and Alexis for the most part get along except for your normal sibling stuff. They love playing in the bath tube. Also every night before bed the girls play on Grace's bed and laugh and laugh. They entertain themselves well. They love being outside. They play in the sandbox and blow bubbles. We seem to always on the go. Grace loves getting her hair done. We frequently put it in braids. Alexis has enough hair for a little ponytail but she pulls it out. Both girls like to help me in the kitchen. Grace helps me cook while Lexi plays with the pots and pans and she likes to throw stuff away. They also love helping me eat the food! With Lexi it''s usually involves wearing the food too!

Opening the Camper

We have started camping season! The girls enjoy going out there too. We have got a new camper this year with bunks for the girls. Lexie is still in her pack-n-play. We have new people across the street who have a boy 1 day younger than Lexie! It's nicer this year with Lexie walking, but now I have 2 to chase! Grace and Lexie have been in the lake already too. Lexie liked it until she got a face full of water! Hopefully she'll get better. They are going to build a new playground and I'm sure we will be spending a lot of time there!

Alexis' First Birthday Party

We had Alexis' 1st birthday party at our house. The weather was cold, so we had to stay inside. We had tacos and nachos. The girls received a combine gift of a swing set. Lexie also got lots of clothes, sandbox toys, bath toys, and her own baby doll. We love having party now since we have the room! Lexie had a good time breaking into her gifts. She also loved her cake and ice cream and made quiet the mess. As you will notice Daddy helped open gifts this time so he is in the pictures. Our little girl is growing up fast!

The girls are so much fun and usually get along well. Grace is a good big sister and watches out for Alexis. Grace thinks her apron is a princess dress and decided to wear that and nothing else except a diaper! Alexis had spaghetti the other night and was an absolute mess. The pictures are funny though. We had a busy but fun Eater. Daddy had off work, yea! The Easter bunny was good to the girls. Grace had fun finding their baskets and eggs. Grace wore her Easter bunny ears to church and even left children sermon to come back and put them on then went back up front! We went to Dave's parents and then my parents house. Both Grandpa's played barbie with Grace. The Easter bunny hide eggs at Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Gary's house too! Alexis helped find those ones. Both girls got the same barbie too. Alexis' dress was ruined by the end of the day!

Alexis is now 1! That year went fast. Her party isn't until May because of Daddy schedule but we celebrated just the 4 of us. Alexis got her first ice cream cone, which she was half asleep for. Then we played at home and we had to give her one gift. By the end of the day she was falling asleep in her highchair! She starting taking steps March 18th, 2-3 at a time and now she is all over. She only has 4 teeth so a bunch should be coming. She really only says mama and dada but she babbles a lot, like her parents! We are enjoying the warm weather and like playing outside and going for walks.

Grace and Alexis love playing with balloons. They found out how fun static could be. Their hair was sticking up everywhere. It was funny seeing them run around and having the balloons follow them! By the way these balloons lasted for a month!

A few weeks ago Daddy toke Grace sliding and Alexis and I watched. They had a good time and Grace keeps wishing for more snow. Grace used the sled from when I was a kid. They kept getting stuck and falling over which Grace wasn't a fan of.

We have settled into our house and we love having people over now. The girls love playing with their new toys. Alexis is starting to walk behind toys. She pushes the shopping cart around. She is trying to stand in the middle of the room but hasn't quiet figured it out yet. Alexis is starting to eat more regular foods. She likes mashing her hands in food then touching her hair. Alexis says Mama all the time. Dave will tell her say Dada and she looks at us and says Mama! I love it, Dave not so much. Grace is starting to use the potty more. Grace loves playing in the snow and always wants to help Daddy shovel. Grace went on this jumpy thing in the mall and had a blast. The lady asked if Grace would be scared if she went high. The lady bounced her high and Grace loved it!

We had a very busy holiday season and this is the last of the pictures. We had my family over Christmas Eve and Dave's family over Christmas day. We liked it because we didn't have the girls up and all the gifts and go everywhere. We had a wonderful time seeing all of the family and the girls enjoyed themselves too. Grace understood Christmas this year too which made it even better. She had to leave Santa chocolate milk and cookies!

Dave had his work Christmas party at the hanger. It was a nice time. They had games for the kids. Grace had a blast playing on the inflatables and Alexis even got to crawl around and play on one. Santa arrived by plane and the girls got to sit on his lap. Mom got to sit on his lap too! The girls also got a present from him. When we left we were all tired and ready for a nap!

Christmas in PA

We had our Christmas in Pa Thanksgiving weekend. The girls had a blast. They both got backpacks and Grace brings hers everywhere she goes. Grace puts it on herself, but you have to make sure it's zipped because she puts it on upside down! Alexis will crawl around with hers on without a beep. Grace wanted to help everyone open their gifts. The girls got really cute hats from New Zealand too. With the backpacks and hats on it looked like the girls were going hiking. We went to the zoo too. The girls had fun. Grace enjoyed watching the animals. One of the monkeys jumped on the glass and sent Grace running! The weather was beautiful for us too.

The girls are growing fast and having a blast. Alexis is very long. She started crawling around 7 months and standing around 7 1/2 months. She just got her first tooth about 2 weeks ago and I think she is teething again. I guess all she wants for Christmas is her 2 front teeth! She is a big momma's girl. She will crawl pass Daddy to get to me. She loves eating finger foods. Grace can't wait for Santa to get here. She likes to boss her sister around, but they do get along great. She likes to feed Alexis too. Grace no longer uses a pacifier, however she still asks for one occasionally. Daddy told her if she wanted to go to school she couldn't use one. One night she started crying and she told me I don't want to go to school I want my paci! She took Alexis' one day and got her "fix" from hers! Grace likes to help around the house. She will help cook, clean, and helped put decorations on the tree.

New House

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but we moved and I couldn't find the cord for the camera. We moved to Ypsilanti and are loving it. There is much more room here. The girls each have there own room and we all don't have to share the same bathroom anymore. We are in the middle of no where and we like it like that. We are having Christmas eve and Christmas day at our house and are so excited. We actually got to decorate this year also. It won't be so long between posting anymore now I promise!

Halloween

I know this is late but here is Halloween day. The girls had a blast. Grace wanted to keep going but we stopped and she helped hand out candy instead. It was cold out but Grandma and Grandpa had the fire pit going to keep us warm! Alex was a werewolf but Grace wasn't scared of him. She called him her teddy bear. She kept saying come on teddy bear!

We had Halloween at the campground the end of September. People decorate their campers and the kids had games. They have costume judging too. Alexis won the best costume for the 0-6 year old range. Gary won the best pumpkin. Grace had a blast playing with all the kids and going trick or treating. There were a lot of kids there. It was a fun event.

Grace and Alexis are growing up so fast. Alexis went for her 6 month checkup and weighs 18lbs and is 31 inches!!! She is going to be a tall kid. Alexis is able to sit up on her own and is moving all around on the floor. She plans out where she wants to go and rolls one way turns her body and the rolls the rest of the way. No teeth yet but she chews on everything is drools a lot. It shouldn't be long. Grace loves playing with her and even shares her toys (most of the time). Grace likes to feed Alexis and try washing her in the tub also. Grace is a good big sister! Grace loves singing and playing hide and go seek. She doesn't like to hide though, she always wants to find us!

Grace and Alexis like playing together. Grace is helpful with her sister. They make each other laugh. Grace likes to hold Alexis and even tries to pick her up. Alexis is easy going and just goes along with everything. Alexis moves all around on the floor now. She gets her knees under her and her butt in the air but she doesn't know what to do with her arms. She keeps them out to the side. Won't be long before she is crawling! Oh-no 2 mobile kids.

Alexis has been eating baby cereal for about a month now and is really enjoying it. Last night she got her first taste of baby food. It was squash. She didn't know what to think of it. She didn't eat to much of it. Tonight on the other hand she couldn't get enough! She eat most of it. Another one of our children with a healthy appetite! Alexis eyes up our food all the time. It won't be long before she is eating real food.

Sorry it has been awhile since there has been an update. Things are busy here. Grace and Alexis are growing fast. Grace repeats what we say a lot and can say most things. She can count to 11 and sometimes higher. She also likes helping out with chores around the house. Alexis is 4 1/2 months now and is very long. She can roll both directions. She tries to sit up on her own when laying. She has also started cereal and is enjoying that. Alexis is a good sleeper, thank goodness. Alexis wakes up nicely too. She bangs her legs on the bottom of her pack and play and whines softly. Grace went from asleep to screaming so this is much nicer. Alexis is also fun to give a bath to. She doesn't stop moving. She moves her arms and legs like crazy and tries to roll over, I end up soaked. We also think she is teething. She chews on everything and drools like crazy. Both girls enjoy the campground. They like the lake and the boat rides. Grace likes it when we catch fish too.

We had a busy weekend last weekend. Alexis was Baptized and Grace turned 2! The weather was perfect. Our nephew also got married. My Dad and Theresa babysat while we went to the wedding. They said the girls were good and they had a good time. Alexis is growing fast, she can even roll over from her stomach to her back. For the baptism Alexis wore the same gown Grace did which was made from my wedding dress. Alexis loved the water being poured on her head but she wasn't a fan of the oil on her forehead. Her godparents are Aunt Mary and Uncle Jeff. We went to Aunt Diane's afterward to celebrate.

Fourth of July

Dave's parents joined us at the campground the weekend of the fourth. Aunt Susan, Uncle Jim, Uncle Steve, Aunt Shell, and Uncle Jeff also came out for the day to join in on the fun. They had games for the kids which Grace enjoyed. The adult men also had games. They enjoyed launching water balloons at each other. Gary had to say he would take them all on so our bunch got hit from all directions. They had golf carts driving around throwing balloons at them. A few battle wounds were given but they had a good time. Grace went swimming in the lake on Sunday too. She looked very cute in her swimsuit. Alexis enjoyed all the attention she received also.

Father's Day

Dave came home Father's day weekend, but he had to go back to Minnesota for work on Father's day. Dave missed the bbq at his parents but at least he saw the girls for a little bit. It was a hot day (one of the few this year). Grandma pulled out the sprinkler for Grace to play in. She wasn't to sure at first, but once she got started she loved it. Since I didn't bring a swimmy diaper she played in a normal diaper. After a little while she wanted the diaper off and played in the nude. Alexis was also a hot baby so she laid around in a diaper. We all had a nice time. Lots of food and family.

Grace got her first haircut on Saturday while at the campground from Grandma Kathy's friend Donna. Grandma got her hair done first and then it was Grace's turn. She did great. No wiggling around or fussing. She sat very quietly while Donna snipped and combed and made her beautiful. Thank you, Donna!

Alexis had her 2 month checkup this week. She is 25in long and 12.5lbs. She is sleeping 6-8 hours at night and then eats every 2 hours after that. She is also a gassy baby like her sister was. We are all adjusting well for the most part. Grace is a good helper. She also has learned when Alexis is eating she can get away with more! She also is throwing more tantrums. When it comes to Alexis though she loves helping her.

We are basically settled in at the camper. The rock is spread and the weeds are gone. Grace has a lot of fun and gets very dirty. She has lots of people to play with. Both girls love riding around on the golf cart. It even gets Alexis to calm down most of the time when papa goes fast. Alexis seems to enjoy all the fresh air too. She also likes getting held by a lot of people! It's the pass the baby game!

I thought I would take a quick break, and post a couple pictures of Alexis that I took this morning, for a seven week old, she has the best neck and head control! Anyways, I am back to babysitting for both Alexis and Grace while Kerry and Dave are working, so I get to play photographer when the mood strikes me!! Here is what we did today.

Opening the camper

We went out to the camper last weekend and this weekend. We got the place clean and worked on spreading gravel on our lot. In total we had 12 1/2 yards of gravel to spread on our lot. Grace had a great time climbing the pile and helping shovel the gravel. She would climb to the top and slide down on her stomach. She liked to say ta-da when she got to the top. Daddy had a small coal shovel she tried using to help. Both weekends we cut of trip short due to the cold and raining weekend. Imagine keeping Grace clean and dry. She loves being outdoors and would cry when we made her go in. Alexis seems to enjoy the fresh air. We kept her nice and bundled up which kept her happy. Hopefully the weather starts to warm up so we can enjoy camping more.

Things have been busy. Gramps and Nana came up last weekend and visited. It was a nice visit. They can't believe how little Alexis is and how big Grace is! The lack of sleep is starting to show its effect on us. Alexis is starting to take after Grace and be a gasses baby making it hard to get her to go back to sleep at night. She sleeps good laying on us but we can't sleep like that all the time. Grace is still being a good helper. Otherwise we are doing good. Enjoy the pictures!
